QUALITY STANDARDS
According to the regulations for RSS3 Rubber (Ribbed Smoked Sheet No. 3) products traded on the TOCOM Commodity Exchange:
RSS 3 or RSS 4 must meet international specification standards, based on The Green Book 1969 standards.
RSS 3: Dryness and thin mold on the surface of the paper wrapping, bales, and the inner side of the rubber sheet, as determined at the time of delivery, may be accepted. The allowable mold and dryness must not exceed 10%. Color blemishes, small bubbles, and small fragments of bark are permitted. Oxidized spots, stripes, thin areas, heat damage, hardening, burnt smoke, cloudiness, and charred areas are not acceptable. The rubber must be dry, elastic, and free from sand, deformities, blisters, dirt, and other impurities, except for the impurities specified as acceptable.
