QUALITY STANDARDS:
According to the specifications for Aluminum products traded on the London Metal Exchange (LME):
1. Pure aluminum with impurity levels not exceeding the chemical composition limits of one of the registered designations below:
P1020A as specified in the International and North American Registration Record titled “International Designations and Chemical Composition Limits for Unalloyed Aluminum.”
Al99.70 as defined in the GB/T 1196-2008 standard, titled “Unalloyed Aluminum Ingots for Remelting.”
For warrants issued on or before December 31, 2009, pure aluminum must have a minimum purity of 99.70%, with a maximum allowable iron content of 0.2% and silicon content of 0.20%.
2. Aluminum must be delivered in the form of ingots, T-bars, or sows.
3. Aluminum delivered under contract must be of an LME-approved brand.
